Bosty goest to Stratford-upon-Avon

The Adventures of Bosty by Megan Coyle

Bosty decided to hop on the train and head off to Stratford-upon-Avon. He wanted to say hello to Shakespeare’s neck of the woods since he happened to be in the area.

He had his picture taken under the “Truly Scrumptious Tearoom” sign after he had his afternoon tea. After all, a traveler has to take a few posed pictures.

Next he wandered into a garden that had sculptures inspired by different Shakespearean plays. Here’s Bosty in front of the one inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I think he just liked the fact that the sculpture had a donkey in it.

After a long dog day, the sky began to turn yellow as the sun set.

And the night went by in a blur of excitement – with window shopping and enjoying the bright lights.

Bosty goes to Oxford

So what’s next on Bosty’s trip? Wandering the streets of Oxford. He figured that after seeing Cambridge, he might as well mosey over to another college town.

He spent a little time in the park, admiring the colorful trees of autumn. Hmm, how about a nice fall dip in the fountain?

Next he decided to go to a few touristy places. Being the Harry Potter fan he is, Bosty checked out a few areas where they filmed scenes from the Harry Potter movie.

Including the Great Hall. He felt like a wizard’s hat was necessary for the occasion.

Then it was off to admire the architecture…

And end the day with an English sunset.

Bosty goes to Cambridge

After a trip to Brighton, Bosty decided to head over to Cambridge to take a look at the sights over there. He saw some tourists going on boat rides as we walked over to check out Cambridge University. Bosty was more in the mood for boat rides or watching boat riders than wandering the streets.

Once we made it to Cambridge University’s campus, Bosty wanted his picture taken. Another tourist shot? Don’t mind if I do!

And then he walked down the streets to do a little window-shopping.

And ended the day by running around the evening market. He grabbed a few bites of the pastries that were for sale as a snack. And he was quite content greeting all the strangers gathering at the market until it grew late – and was time to go get some shut eye.

Bosty goes to Brighton

Bosty has been off on another adventure with a trip to England. His first stop? Brighton to run down the beaches. He also spent a good amount of time jumping into the water and doing the doggy paddle to cool off from the summer heat. Here he is taking a stroll down the beach in the early morning.

He dropped by Brighton Pier several times to run around on the boardwalk and greet strangers. Especially the ones walking dogs.

Out and about on the beach chasing after seagulls and other critters. This seagull seems to be having a staring contest with Bosty.

Bosty by collage artist Megan Coyle

Attacking his head or whispering sweet nothings? Whichever it is, Bosty seems a little concerned.

And after a day of running, splashing in the water, and playing with seagulls, Bosty watched the sunset. All in all, it was just another dog day in summer.

Bosty goes to Paris

If you’re wondering what Bosty has been up to, he’s been busy traveling around Paris. He went ahead and bought himself a beret so he could pose in front of the Eiffel Tower like all the other American tourists.

Then he made his way over to the Musee D’Orsay – an art museum that used to be a railway station. Bosty liked chasing after some of the art museum visitors – it was his version of “performance art.”

Since you’re in the mood for museums, why not head over to the Louvre? Don’t mind if I do!

The day was pretty cloudy but still beautiful. Bosty had a lot of fun wandering the pretty Paris streets.

Posing in front of Notre Dame

And Sacre Coeur – which looked just like a large palace that Bosty wouldn’t mind living in.

He ended the day stopping by the Moulin Rouge – but only for a photo op. He wasn’t too interested in anything other than the movie reference.

Another day he decided to climb up the stairs of the Eiffel Tower for the view.

And finally, he made it to the top to take a look at the city below. “I think I could sit here all day.”

And he did – before climbing back down to watch the Eiffel Tower light up from afar. Good night, Paris!

Bosty goes to Ireland

Bosty wanted to get away for a little while so we went off to see the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland.

And he didn’t seem the mind the drizzle when visiting some of the area’s castles.

Slow down Bosty, don’t get too far ahead when we walk through the park.

Look at that, another picturesque photo that he decided to pop into and interrupt.

But here he wanted to pose in front of a thatched cottage like any old tourist.

So all in all, it was quite the sightseeing tour.

Bosty’s Cook Out

We’ve had such nice weather these days that Bosty decided to hold his very own cook out. While grilling the meat, he had a tendency of nibbling the food every time it was flipped.

To be a little healthy, he made a salad.

And how about some potato salad? Don’t mind if I do!

Bosty the Boston Terrier and Deviled Eggs by collage artist Megan Coyle

And deviled eggs…wait a minute, wasn’t there a full plate of deviled eggs just a second ago? Bosty seems to enjoy feeding himself before he feeds his guests.

The meal was finished off with a lemon meringue pie – care for another slice?

Bosty Tours Washington, D.C.

Bosty and the Washington Monument by collage artist Megan Coyle

Bosty felt like being a tourist for the day so he stopped by the Washington Monument for a touristy snapshot.

Bosty and Popcorn by collage artist Megan Coyle

Then he wanted to hang out by a popcorn vendor. He was hoping someone would spill their food so he could gobble up a quick snack.

Bosty and the Lincoln Memorial by collage artist Megan Coyle

Then he moseyed on over to the Lincoln Memorial.

After begging in front of the statue of Lincoln, Bosty realized Lincoln wasn’t a live person and he wasn’t hiding any snacks in his hands.

So he popped on over to the Jefferson Memorial.

And decided to get in the way when I tried to take a picture of the Capitol.

So all in all, it was a productive doggy day.
