And it’s finished! I have a couple more portrait pieces that I’m going to work on before shifting gears and paying more attention to the work for my animal portraiture solo exhibition–so expect a lot more animal portraits in the future.
Hide and Seek
It’s been a busy week. I’ve got a lot on my plate these days, and unfortunately I didn’t get around to making as much artwork as I wanted to–although this weekend I should have plenty of studio time.
Coney Island
And it’s finished for the moment–at some point I’ll go back in and work on fixing a few places like the umbrella.
I’ve also been busy with some commission work, and since the piece is going to be given as a gift, I’ve refrained from posting any progress pictures of it until it’s been given to its recipient.
Blue Barack Obama (No. 3 in a series)
Due to request, I’ve created another Obama collage.
Commuters
And it’s done!
A Day in the Park
And my collage is finished!
A Potomac River Afternoon
Whew, this week has been a busy one already – I’m pretty good at keeping my hands busy. Anyway, I’ve gotten started on another possible portrait/figurative piece for my solo exhibition next year and I’ll post progress pictures later. I’m also really itching to get started on more animal portraits, living near the zoo has its perks – it gives me plenty of opportunities to take pictures for future projects. Anyway, here’s the finished collage that I’ve been working on recently.
The Reader
I’ve finished working on “the Reader” for now. Here’s what I’ve done so far.
Hikers
And I’ve finished it!
Chow Time
And it’s finished for the moment. Later on this year or maybe at the beginning of next year, I’ll go back through these possible solo exhibition pieces and tweak them a bit.
I hope everyone has a happy Friday! What will you be up to? I’m about to make my way to New York for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. I’ll take plenty of pictures and maybe I’ll find some inspiration for future portraits.
