And it’s done! One of these days I’ll need to revisit several of these portrait pieces to edit and prepare them for the exhibition in July. Whew, I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me!

I recently took on an internship to juggle with all my other work. Needless to say, I haven’t quite gotten a chance to work on all the art-related things I’ve wanted to work on.

Hopefully when I settle into a routine with my new work, I’ll be able to do a better job at scheduling my time. However, I’ll do my best to keep posting.

And it’s finished! I have a couple more portrait pieces that I’m going to work on before shifting gears and paying more attention to the work for my animal portraiture solo exhibition–so expect a lot more animal portraits in the future.

It’s been a busy week. I’ve got a lot on my plate these days, and unfortunately I didn’t get around to making as much artwork as I wanted to–although this weekend I should have plenty of studio time.

And it’s finished for the moment–at some point I’ll go back in and work on fixing a few places like the umbrella.

I’ve also been busy with some commission work, and since the piece is going to be given as a gift, I’ve refrained from posting any progress pictures of it until it’s been given to its recipient.

Whew, this week has been a busy one already – I’m pretty good at keeping my hands busy. Anyway, I’ve gotten started on another possible portrait/figurative piece for my solo exhibition next year and I’ll post progress pictures later. I’m also really itching to get started on more animal portraits, living near the zoo has its perks – it gives me plenty of opportunities to take pictures for future projects. Anyway, here’s the finished collage that I’ve been working on recently.
