And I’ve finished the Alice Childress quote piece. For X-mas, I received a light-kit and a nice Nikon camera, so now my collage pictures should look much brighter and more detailed. “Snowflakes” is the first collage I’ve taken pictures of with my new camera and kit.
Here’s another piece inspired by one of my trips to the National Zoo in DC, when I stopped by the Reptile House. I’m always finding compositions for future works of art there when I stroll around with my camera.
Whew, it’s been a busy week. Hope everyone is enjoy the holiday season – I’ve been busy with a lot of non-art related things, but once the new year rolls by, I’ll have a lot more time to focus on my studio work.
Here’s another one of my mini collages that’s part of my winter series for my Etsy store.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. We got a little bit of snow the other day here–so it’s really feeling like winter. I also had a chance to work on a few small dog collages for my Etsy shop. Here’s the first one I’ve listed in the shop.
I’ve finished my most recent figurative piece at the moment – I might use this one for my upcoming exhibition in July. In general, I’m going to put my figurative work on hold for this exhibition and start focusing more on producing animal collages for my other show.
