Here’s a quick collage I did today. I’m going to get started on something else as well, and hopefully I’ll be able to post more this week. Things have been extremely busy for me, so I’ll try my best to work on more artwork.

Here’s the third mini collage I’ve done. I’m pretty sure that I’m going to enter this one into the miniatures juried exhibition. However, for my second entry, I’m not sure if I should enter the mini portrait or mini portrait of a gorilla–both are collages that I posted below. Any ideas on which one I should choose would be much appreciated.

Today I heard back about the solo exhibition I applied for–turns out I’ve been selected to have an exhibition. This will be my first solo exhibition and it won’t be until 2010–the month of the exhibition is yet to be determined. So now I know what I’ll be doing in the year 2009–lots of portraiture collaging in order to prepare for this.

I think it’s funny that the gorilla went from looking like an angry and wild creature to a wizened and contemplative animal. I’ll set this one aside and perhaps work on it more some other day. But for now, it’s finished.

In other news, I’d like to thank Patricia at pve design for doing a post about me. And now I’m off to get started on a 5″x7″ person portrait. We’ll see how this one turns out.

Hope you had a happy Monday!

The dog collage I did before this one was of a dog that I thought was named Louie. Turns out this is the real Louie, and the last dog was Jonny. Anyway, I finished my last dog portrait in the series of commissioned pieces for one of my clients. Next week I have a meeting at a gallery that might possibly put my work on display.

I’ve been extremely busy with work these days, but now things have cooled down and I will be able to focus more on art making (hopefully). I’ll try to get started on another piece tonight or tomorrow night. I hope everything is going well with everyone!

I have one more collage to do in this commission series before I’m finished. In other news, I’m working on last minute work for Art on the Avenue which will be on Saturday. This will be my first time ever doing an outdoor festival. Depending on how much I like it, I may or may not do more in the future.

I’ve been quite busy these days. I’m working on the paper work for a jurying process for the possibility of having a solo exhibition as well as getting last minute things squared away for Art on the Avenue. Hopefully I can start working on artwork like crazy in a couple of weeks.
