Group Artist Exhibition

Acrylic Self Portrait by Megan Coyle

September 12 – October 31, 2003
Clinical Center Galleries
National Institute of Health; Bethesda, Maryland

Throughout high school, Megan entered many art competitions and student exhibitions. Her “Group Artist Exhibition” at the National Institute of Health was her first exhibition with an audience outside of her school. The exhibition included her acrylic “Self Portrait” painting, “Self Portrait II” drawing, “Guitar Man” ink gestural drawing, and a series of three etchings entitled “Dandelions.”

The show gave Megan a chance to display a variety of the artwork she was producing at that time. She was experimenting with many different materials before finding her niche in collage; however, her work with other media like painting influenced her collage art later on.
