This is finished for now. I’ll return to it later on–I’ve discovered that it’s best to keep pushing forward with my work. If I’m tired with the way a piece is turning out, it’s best to move on and return to it when I’ve had some time away from it.
I know exactly of what you speak of in regard to “moving on” when you are working on something and feel the need to step away, or to start another idea.
I do love the boy, his face, his thought, and the dog too. They look like their own being, yet faithful companions.

yes, i couldn’t agree more! sometimes you have to shift to another project to keep the creative process going – at some point you’ll be in the right frame of mind to finish it.
I don’t know how you could make it any better. It really is wonderful. I know what you mean, though. Sometimes I abandon a project for weeks!

Good point, Megan. It’s always caused me more harm than good to keep going when I’m tired with a piece.
