So I decided I’m finished with this for now. It looks slightly like me–I’ve realized that I’ve always had trouble doing self-portraits. It’s so much easier to create works of other people. Perhaps this is because I assume I know what I look like, and therefore I have trouble getting the details down right. I might return to this at a later time, but for now, I’ve decided I’m done.
Hi, this “paper-painting” looks really great. First I thought its an photography edited with photoshop or a real painting. I had to look twice.

i think it is so great – the small details are amazing – eyeliner, lips, strand of hair. i think you look very pensive, which seems to be in keeping with your feelings about doing self-portraits.

it’s wonderful! self portraits are so interesting… we come to them knowing so much about ourselves yet this somehow makes it harder.
